Website, content and e-shop for Platform, a new gift shop and gallery in Canterbury

Platform, opened in September 2020 in St Dunstan’s, Canterbury, curates a range of original art, prints and products by artists and independent makers from Kent and beyond.

Platform needed a website to support the activities within the shop but when Canterbury went into lockdown in November 2020 there was an urgent requirement to create an online store as soon as possible.

Our developers prioritised the store build and within a few days had a fully functioning WooCommerce store integrated with Stripe, ApplePay and Google Pay.

In the meantime, our Creative Director generated all the photography and content.

With supporting campaigns on Instagram and Facebook the online store soon became an important sales outlet for Platform, particularly in the period before Christmas 2020 when Canterbury went into Tier 4 restrictions along with the rest of Kent.

The gallery carries exclusive and original works by Jim Moir (aka Vic Reeves), Karl Terry, Ned Kelly, Lesley Davies-Evans, David Ferry and more, alongside a range of prints and original photography.

Independent brands stocked include Vicky Hageman, Margo Selby, Join Store London, Kate Jones Knitwear, Kinshipped, Row Pinto, Homefolk and more.
